Hello and welcome to my page! I am grateful & delighted that there is this special space on the web where those who have a serious interest in creating positive new changes and possibilities in our world can gather in an open exchange of ideas…

I am a musician, singer/songwriter, performer and Reike master. My main style of music and influences is the blues and include all forms of American roots music. I play mostly guitar these days and confine my bass playing and drumming for studio recording only. I have a great love and passion for acoustic pre-war delta bottle neck slide style blues that the early blues masters Son House, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and the likes used to play. I also play more contemporary electric blues in a band setting as well.   

About 10 years ago I began writing lyrics that embraced my personal spiritual philosophies and metaphysical upbringing and began to marry them to 12 bar blues progressions and bluesy pentatonic melodies. I was born & raised in Southern California and influenced by several relatives and friends that were Rosicrucian and my mother was a Religious Science minister for many years.

My original idea was to expand the current expression of the powerful artform we call the blues into a metaphysical direction. My idea of course is not original… Gospel musicians and singers have been doing this with the blues for a very long time. Real long time…

My father once asked me why I chose to play blues music… because to him, it was what he called “sad music”. Though that was a somewhat correct observation on his part, it was not an accurate one. After I got over taking exception to his view, I grew to appreciate it as a gift because I realized that this music was a great tool for listener’s that could passionately and emotionally connect to meta-lyrics that could really empower and impact our lives, our world. In that realization I became what I call a metabluesician.

It’s probably good medicine to mention that my lovely wife, best friend and life partner has an ongoing and profound impact on my spiritual direction and is quick to support not only my music but my spiritual education as well. Go here to read all about Leandra…
